Publishing your station app on Google Play: what you need

Editor's note: these details were accurate when first published. Check Google's current rules before you apply.

What changed

Google now requires each app on Google Play to be published from the app owner's own developer account, not a third party's. For broadcasters, that means your station's app goes live under your account.

An alternative: direct download

If you would rather avoid the Play Store, we can create your app with a direct (sideload) download link. Listeners follow a short security prompt on their Android device to install it. Contact support if you want to go this route.

Why it is worth it

It is a little more admin up front, but it gives you ownership of your app, control over updates and a direct line to Google.
